NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue, Inc.: WAHL Grooming Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The shampoo was used to bathe newly retired greyhounds who came into our program. The shampoo samples were given to adopters.
This grant helped to make the new dogs feel clean, soften their coats and moisturize their skin and take away that doggy kennel odor they get from being at the track.
How many pets did this grant help?
20 so far, plus all the shampoo samples will continue to benefit the newly adopted pets.
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Dean’s story is typical. He came to us straight from the track. Although he wasn’t covered in dirt or mud, he did smell and was full of flea dirt, ticks, and had very dry skin and dander. You can’t really tell from a photo, but he was itchy and uncomfortable. Dean absolutely loved his bath. He was so relaxed while we were massaging the shampoo into his coat. He smelled so good after his bath and his coat immediately became shiny.
