We rescue dogs from many of our surrounding shelters. Many of these shelters have trouble placing dogs for adoption for a variety of reason. One of those shelters is Holmes County Dog Kennels.

Recently we went thee in in the last cage hiding in the corner was Wally. He is a 6 year-old Norwegian Elkhound. He broke my heart when I saw him shivering in the corner. We took him from that shelter and got him all fixed up and looking great.

He went on a local television station where someone saw him. His new owner came to the shelter and gave him the opportunity at a forever home. We could not do these types of programs without support from grant like this one.
