How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Our dogs are all in foster homes. We have around 100 dogs in 80 foster homes. Our dogs LOVE Kong products. Our dogs are mostly pit bulls and other heavy chewers and toys that are long-lasting are hard to find. The dogs enjoy the treats in the Kongs and spend hours playing with them!!

Our dogs are crated during the day in their foster homes. Kong toys provide stimulation and entertainment. They are also great for dogs who eat their food too fast or are anxious in their crates, because we can pack their food into the Kongs and make them work for it!

Wiggles is a 7-month-old puppy who came to us with a femur broken near his hip. He had femoral-head ostectomy surgery to fix his leg and had to be kept quiet while the surgery site healed. He loves food and treats, and the Kong toys provided a wonderful outlet for him to play and snack while still keeping him fairly quiet so that he could heal! Meet Wiggles here.
