Sage, a rabbit, was brought to our shelter in April 2023. Abandoned in her own home after her owner passed away, Sage came to us underweight, with overgrown nails and in desperate need of grooming.

Sage welcomed our care as we groomed away the mats in her fur and clipped her nails. She happily ate a custom diet created for her to gain weight after we consulted with a nutritional specialist.

All of this was made possible by the Trolli Dynamic Duos Grant.
Soon, she was happy and comfortable in her new space here at the shelter. She particularly enjoyed the small obstacles we would make in her enclosure with tunnels and boxes. She would gleefully race around as if it was her own personal racetrack.

She even got to attend adoption events such as Kitten Yoga! She was the only bunny in attendance and very much enjoyed all of the attention, as well as running around the yoga studio with the kittens.

Shelter visitors often noticed how beautiful Sage was and would note how friendly she was as they passed by her.

In July 2023, Sage found her forever family. She now has a Flemish giant for a sister as well as two human brothers.
