Dog Town Canine Rescue: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We purchased new Kong toys for Milo.

Milo is a long-term resident of Dog Town and can be hard on chew toys. With this money, we are able to keep him supplied with sturdy toys.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Milo was a stray who ended up at Animal Control. He came to Dog Town about two years ago, and has become one of our favorites. He was adopted once, but due to human error, he got into a minor fight with another dog and was returned. Since then, we are only allowing him to go to a home where he will be the only dog. This cuts down on the number of eligible adopters, but we are okay with keeping him until the perfect home comes along. From his Petfinder profile: “Milo is a nice young dog who is hoping to find a home where he will have some attention and love. He’s a smart pup and has done very well with learning good manners. He’s going to need someone with dog experience, who will help him continue along the good road we’ve got him on. Milo is exuberant and loves people, and would do best in a home as an only dog.” Meet Milo: https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/30131577
