The pet sponsored was Skeeter, who has been adopted. From his Petfinder profile: “Skeeter is a 12-year-old, 25-lb. male dachshund mix. He is kind, quiet and gentle, with some of the softest fur you have ever felt. He does well with other dogs and spends hours loving them and grooming them. He likes to lay his head on the other dogs when they are all together and will sleep that way. Skeeter is a slow eater and takes supplements for his arthritis. He can go on short walks and does extremely well on a leash. Skeeter is great with children and loves other dogs, but is more of a lover than a playmate. He is very friendly with strangers after he gets over his initial shyness. Skeeter needs a person or another dog to keep him company at home. He is potty-trained and crate-trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Skeeter is the perfect dog for a mellow household.”
