Fallon Animal Welfare Group: A Shot at Life Vaccination Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The grant of 2 25-count Boehringer Ingelheim FVRPC vaccines has been used to vaccinate cats and kittens in our rescue group's foster & adopt out program. To date, one of the boxes of vaccines has been used, and the second box will be opened next week when one of our litters is ready for its second round of shots.rnrnWe have a mother cat and her 8 kittens (yes! 8 of them) all of whom received their first vaccines through this grant.rnrnWe also have several other cats including Sylvester, Butterscotch, Dickens, and Harry (see photos) who all received vaccines through this grant.

This grant provided us with 50 doses of FVRPC vaccines for our cats and kittens. The money we saved on vaccines because of this grant helped us provide other medical care for our foster cats & kittens.

How many pets did this grant help?

To date, 16 cats have received at least one shot (some 2) from this grant.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Dickens came to us as a stray. At first her foster caregiver thought she was a boy! But when he went to the vet to be neutered, we were told she was a girl! Sylvester’s kitten shots were provided by the Petfinder Boeringer Ingelheim vaccine grant. Last week she was adopted into a wonderful home with a rady-made family of cats and dogs (and people).
