All Fur One: Dog Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The Dog Enrichment Grant gave us TONS of new ways to entertain our resident dogs while they wait for their forever families. The agility equipment and slow/fun feeding options have already provided extra stimulation for the dogs from our last rescue transport.

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Everglades (first photo), the dog using the snuffle mat (second photo), was rescued from a shelter in Buchanan County, Virginia, last month. The snuffle mat helps make getting food and treats even more fun for her. Everglades is still waiting for her forever family! Check her out here.

Yellowstone (third photo) is the dog shown learning how to use our new agility equipment with one of our awesome board members, Danielle (fourth and fifth photos). The agility equipment makes our dogs’ time spent playing and training more rewarding and fun for both them and the volunteers. And who wouldn’t want to adopt a dog who already knew some cool tricks? Yellowstone is also still available and you can learn more about him here.
