How many pets did this grant help?

Eve's surgery and care so far has cost $1,922. We used the grant to help pay for her surgery.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

We were contacted by one of our veterinarians about a kitten who had been hit by a car on Christmas Eve. She was brought in by Animal Control because, after realizing the severity of her injuries, Animal Control declined to treat. It was thought that it was in her best interest to euthanize her.

Eve became a NJSH kitty the next day. We provided her with surgery to correct both broken legs and to have her tail amputated. She is currently living in a loving foster home and will likely stay on in our hospice program.

Eve will likely be a hopice kitty and stay in our care for the remainder of her life. She is living in a loving foster home with two little dogs and is very happy, as are we.
