We were able to continue to provide lifesaving care to dogs like Kenny, a miniature pinscher who was hit by a car and needed emergency medical care. Kenny’s family came to reclaim him immediately, but they couldn’t afford his medical care due to Covid. Kenny was cared for in our Newark shelter thanks to the Petfinder Foundation grant. Kenny was able to go home with his family and is still living a happy, healthy life.

From Facebook, July 11, 2020 (third photo): “You may remember Kenny, the miniature pinscher who came to our shelter with a broken femur from a hit-and-run car accident.

“Well, one orthopedic surgery, a few months of recovery time, and a foster home later, Kenny has finally found his forever home! Kenny has gone through so much in such a short amount of time but has bounced back and is looking towards the future! A future filled with love, treats and a family who adores him!

“In the photo, assistant director Ken says goodbye to Kenny and passes him along to his furever mom!”
Happy Tails Kenny!
