How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The pet beds are used in our kennels for our adoptable animals while they stay at our shelter waiting for their forever homes!

The beds keep our pets cozy and comfy in their kennels and make their stay at our facility less stressful and more enjoyable! Unless the beds are soiled, they stay with the animal until they are adopted, and retain "their smell," which also helps with the animals' stress levels during their stay.

One of our shelter dogs, Venus, has a partially paralyzed back leg resulting from her breaking it as a puppy and receiving no vet care to remedy it. Venus loves her pet bed and also loves to snuggle up on it while volunteers and staff cuddle with her in her kennel.
