Friends of Pets, Inc: P.L.A.Y. Pet Beds Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The products were 10 Warm Bellies dog beds. They have been used as a source of comfort while transporting rescues and housing foster dogs.

We operate purely on donations, volunteers and foster homes. We do not have a budget to buy special dog beds and would regularly utilize donated used blankets to transport scared rescue dogs. What a blessing warm, soft pet beds are to these souls.

How many pets did this grant help?

10 and counting

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Attached you will find a picture of a dog by the name of Joker. Joker had a rough life and needed someone to give him a chance at a loving, forever home. Joker had even been returned once after being adopted before. He needed someone to care. He loved the bit of specialness and comfort that the donated bed gave him while he was back in foster care. During his time in his foster home, a family did realize how special he truly was. He has been adopted and fits in perfectly with the family and even has his own kitty to snuggle (second photo). We are grateful for the P.L.A.Y. pet beds and so happy they could be a positive part in Joker getting to his forever family. We look forward to these beds playing a role in many more rescue dogs’ “Happy Tails.”
