Prairie Paws Rescue: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Helping with extra medical costs and care of the animals in our foster-home-based rescue

We have many pets that come to our rescue who need all medical work completed prior to adoption. We complete the following prior to adoption: spay/neuter; shots; kennel cough, flea and tick treatment; rabies shot; wormer; microchip and adopter information updated; grooming; and vet visit. There are many that come in that also need eye or ear drops for infections. Many of our dogs also are on special diet food due to crystals in the urine. The cost to update medical work always exceeds our adoption fee of $150.
