Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Kingston was found running in and out of traffic on a very busy street in Fayetteville.

A detective with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was able to catch him and place him in his patrol car. Kingston was brought to our shelter, where he was scanned for a microchip. None was found, and he had no other identification, so he was held at the shelter for the state-mandated stray hold and then released for adoption.

Thanks to the generous help of the Petfinder Foundation and Kia, we were able to adopt Kingston to a great new home at no charge! Our usual adoption fee ($100) covers our costs for neuter surgery, microchip, vaccines, and flea treatment, so Kingston’s new mom was able to save that money for fun things like toys and a new dog bed.

Thank you Petfinder Foundation and Kia!
