Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The money was used to pay the rent and utilities.

The Petfinder Foundation grant eased the financial stress brought on by the Covid-19 virus. Donations had decreased due to the uncertainty brought on by the effects of the virus.

How many pets did this grant help?

Approximately 210 between June 1 and Aug. 12, 2020

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Sassy, a friendly 6-year-old pointer (first photo), was surrendered because her owners were moving and couldn’t take her with them. She’s great with adults, kids, and other dogs. She found her forever home on July 3.

Neville, a sweet 6-year-old Siamese mix (second photo), was surrendered to AARF in early August because his owners were getting a divorce and nobody wanted him. Neville is still available for adoption but has not yet been listed on Petfinder.

AARF was able to help both these wonderful pets, and many more, thanks to the Petfinder Foundation grant, which covered the cost of the rent and utilities. Thank you, Petfinder Foundation!
