Vintage Racers for Rescues: KONG Toys Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
With SO many puppies and adoptable dogs in rescue at all times, we are always trying to find toys that will hold up to sharp puppy teeth and strong adult chewers. KONG toys are the only ones that do the job. We are so thankful for the donation and the number of items sent. These will last us a long time thanks to the "easy to wash and sanitize" factor, too!
Many times we will send a KONG toy home with a dog so he/she has a familiar toy, and also to show the adopters which toys to buy. KONG is No. 1 in our book, and we are extraordinarily happy we have so many for the dogs in need!! Thank you for all you do for us and SO many in need!

Mama Alma was dropped off at the shelter along with her three puppies after their owner decided he didn’t want any of them. It can be very scary going from your home, to a shelter, to a new environment in a foster home. So the KONG toys helped Mama by giving her something to chew on, helping her nervousness and anxiety.
Of course, the little puppies loved nibbling on them too despite their little 6-week-old mouths (shark teeth, as I call them). No size was too big! Mama Alma and her puppies who are still available for adoption; Isabela and Luisa are presently on Petfinder.
