Grassroots Animal Rescue of Mississippi, Inc.: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used the $250 COVID-19 grant to fund veterinary care for the increased number of animals in our care due to the pandemic. We were able to fund four neuter surgeries and purchase additional dog food.

Because of the pandemic, we had more dogs in our care for longer lengths of time. We also took in a few additional animals who probably would have gone to shelters if the shelters weren't closed due to the pandemic. The extra money helped us to provide neuter surgeries to four dogs, and it also helped us feed additional dogs in our care.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Crusher, Blaze, and Pickle were a litter of shepherd-mix puppies who came in together. We used this grant money to pay for their neuter surgeries and to buy some Puppy Chow for them. They were all adopted in early June.
