How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Our Cat Enrichment Grant allowed us to purchase so many enriching items for the long-term holding for medical cases. Sometimes cats and kittens may find themselves in our holding area for upwards of a month due to extreme illness, surgery, or quarantine failure. This grant has allowed us to purchase so many items that will bust boredom and keep them from becoming depressed during their stay.

Eliana came to us as a surgical case. She had an enucleation surgery and will be in medical holding and on crate rest for six weeks. This enrichment grant lets her keep from deteriorating while in shelter care. She’s not on Petfinder yet, but as soon as she’s able to be adopted, this sweet girl will be!
