How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Received the Kong grant for cats. We were able to distribute the Kongs between several foster homes and our PetSmart cat condos.

We have been able to supply several of our foster homes and our cat condos with Kong toys. One cat who has never really played while in the rescue loves the StartFish toy!

Our foster cat, Rudy (first six photos), had been trapped during a trap-neuter-return program but was moved to a catio instead of being released. We then moved him into foster care, where he was very loving but showed no real signs of being a playful cat. We didn’t even have the Kong toys out of the box yet when he threw a package on the floor and started trying to open it! We opened it for him and gave him the toy. He had a blast! Rudy has since been adopted after being with us for a year!

We also have the Kong toys at the PetSmart cat condos so all the cats there get to play with them.
