How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The P.L.A.Y. pet beds were used for the various dogs we are providing sanctuary for until they are adopted.

The dogs need a warm, soft place to rest when they are in the kennels. Many of the dogs we rescue are seniors, and having a soft, warm bed to sleep on allows them to have less stress on their joints.

One of the dogs that was helped by this grant was a small dachshund who had been the sole companion of a truck driver for several years but needed another home. This dachshund slept on one of the P.L.A.Y. beds and was soon adopted by another over-the-road truck driver.
