Half-price adoption fees for rescued seniors

This is Boogie. We were informed of a situation of possible neglect, and immediately welcomed him into the C.A.R.E. family. Upon his arrival, his love and gratitude were overwhelmingly obvious. Although this 10+-year-old min pin had lost the ability to see, it didn’t stop him from following us around the sanctuary while we were helping other animals, giving kisses every chance he could, and falling asleep on our lap when we had a few minutes to sit down.
Boogie was posted to Petfinder on Aug. 14 and was adopted almost exactly a month later. His new family was more than willing to keep up with his daily meds, and our standard vet reference check gave us confidence without question that this was the perfect home for sweet Boogie.
Age, impairments, or medical conditions do not affect our calling to rescue animals like Boogie who have become victims of circumstance. We are thrilled to have placed Boogie in his forever home, and greatly appreciate the additional exposure Petfinder gives animals to afford them the chance to find the families that they need, and that need them. Thank you for everything you do, and for the help you have already been for placing thousands of animals just like Boogie in loving homes.
Here’s the Petfinder profile that helped Boogie find his forever home: “If love is blind, I’m 100% LOVE!!
“Hi! My name is Boogie, and I’m a 10+-year-old senior min pin. You’ve probably already noticed my cataracts, but don’t be fooled — I’m an expert at learning new surroundings! When I’m not playing with my friends here at the sanctuary, you can probably find me basking in the warm rays of sunshine. I get along great with everyone I meet, and my faaaaaavorite thing is snuggling into one of my blankets and taking a little nap. The only thing I might like better is curling up on your lap instead! Well, the sun just peeked back out from behind some clouds, so I’m taking a break from all this typing to soak in a few more rays. If you’ve got a lap that I can borrow forever and ever, I wouldn’t mind using it for my future naps I hope I hear from you soon!
