How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The product (Friskies Party Mix cat treats) was used for the cats/kittens in our care, both foster homes and in the in-store adoption center.

The treats are really a boost for our foster homes -- they are one of the extras that are so appreciated. Having the treats can often entice a shy cat/kitten into coming out of their shell.

How many pets did this grant help?

About 150 cats/kittens.

We had a litter of three kittens that came in. They had been born under a bush; an animal-loving family brought them in and cared for them until they could come into our care. The kittens, though, were pretty shy. The foster mom started with shaking the pouch of treats and placing a few on the other side of the room for them, gradually moving closer, until eventually the kittens became little treat hogs 🙂
