How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used it for animal care. We needed extensive vetting for six dogs with mange and infections, along with parasites and other problems. We also had several dogs come in emaciated and dehydrated.

We were able to help the six dogs with mange recover and find homes. We vaccinated, wormed and spayed or neutered 10 others and treated four puppies for dehydration and emaciation. Flea and tick medicines were also provided.

Pebbles was a mastiff mix who came in almost dead at 8 weeks old, with severe mange and several infections. After a couple of months of intensive vetting and treatment, which included dip, antibiotics, vitamins, Pedialyte, and other meds, she was able to complete her vaccinations, be spayed and adopted. We have included her before picture from when she came in the shelter and her after picture in her new home.
