How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The money was used for the purchasing of insulin for our diabetic cat, Primrose.

We were able to put this money towards an added expense we took on when we had diagnosed her with being diabetic and, along with that, figuring out what levels she needs to be at. Finally we have her at 5 ccs twice a day and that seems to be working well for her.

Primrose came in about a year ago through the local pound as an already-older cat. She is slow to move around and has arthritis; she has to be on special food to help with her glucose management and has to be brushed regularly due to her not wanting to groom herself.
