How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The support of the Emergency Medical Grant helped alleviate the continuous financial strain that Furever Tails Animal Rescue was facing due to unexpected medical expenses.

Recently, we have been dealing with an increase in surrenders and shelter transfers that require medical care that is above and beyond basic preventative care and sterilization. We are primarily funded by donations, and times have been tough for many people in light of the recent pandemic.

We are very thankful for the opportunity to be able to stay afloat with the support of this grant!

Marsha entered our care from a hoarder/breeder situation, so she was not only trying to overcome the lack of socialization but she also had a very large mammary tumor, which was clearly painful and prohibited her from lying down comfortably.

The mass removal was quite involved, and Marsha also underwent a dental cleaning and extractions as well as spay surgery.

After overcoming all of these hurdles, Marsha found an amazing family that absolutely adores her and all of her imperfections!
