How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The FVRCP vaccinations were used to vaccinate 50 cats that visited the Tail Wagger's wellness clinic during one of our clinic days this year. We were able to reach out to new clients and provide necessary medical treatment for their animals.

Tail Wagger's 1990's mission is to help people help animals. The vaccined that we received from the Petfinder Foundation along with Boehringer Ingelheim enabled us to provide 50 cats, most of whom had not been vaccinated in 2+ years, with updated vaccinations.

On one of our busy clinic days, a new client brought in her cat, who had unexpectedly birthed a litter of nine kittens. The frazzled pet owner was concerned about the health of these 8-week-old kittens and the cost of vaccinating the litter. With the help Tail Wagger’s 1990 received from the Petfinder Foundation, we were able to successfully vaccinate the kittens and the new mother with their first distemper shot. Receiving this grant had made an impact on cat/kitten owners in our immediate surrounding community and allowed Tail Wagger’s to carry out our mission.
