Fairy Tails Rescue: Bar Dog Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

See below.

How many pets did this grant help?

The $250 grant that we received, we are focusing on one senior pet, but any funds left over will go to as many cats and dogs as possible for monthly flea prevention.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

With this grant, we were able to provide monthly preventatives (flea and tick, as well as heartworm) and Dasuquin supplements to one of our senior pups, Kohl! Kohl is an 11-year-old, blind and deaf senior who has a weak back end. The Dasuquin will help to keep his joints moving smoothly and provide more stabilization for him.

The Dasuquin alone is about $75 for a five-month supply, so it should keep him moving for quite some time. Kohl was also heartworm-positive and has completed treatment, so it is imperative that he stay on Heartgard year-round. The Heartgard is about $95 per year.

Thank you for offering this grant and for choosing Fairy Tails Rescue to receive it!

Kohl has not been adopted as of yet, but we have a great record of placing seniors in forever homes. You can meet Kohl here.
