How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

For the medical care of Ellie, an 8 1/2-year-old bloodhound.

This grant was used to assist with the costs of Ellie's care. Ellie is a sweet and trusting dog with a number of chronic but manageable health conditions. Her frequent ear infections and dry-eye issues are managed with daily medication, but the costs of these treatments for a large bloodhound can be high.

While Ellie is still in our care, the grant eased the burden of providing for her care. We are explaining to interested potential adopters that once she is adopted, thanks to the kindness of the Petfinder Foundation, she will have the costs of her medication covered as she transitions into her new loving forever home.
