How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We use Kong toys as part of our shelter enrichment program for our dogs. It is a wonderful tool to reduce stress and pass the time for the dogs in our care. It is also a useful tool to redirect destructive dogs to the Kong vs. their bed, blanket, etc.
How many pets did this grant help?
We average 550 dogs per year.

Chance is a dog in our care who is high-strung and greatly benefits from Kong toys. He will chew his bed, the kennel wall, etc., if not given a Kong to focus his attention on. Kong toys are part of our enrichment protocol for Chance.
