Meet Emma and Everest, our first bottle-fed kittens of 2023. Emma and Everest arrived at our rescue on Feb. 26, 2023. They were only 10 days old, abandoned and orphaned.
They were the only two survivors out of five. The other siblings’ injuries were too severe and they unfortunately did not make it.
Aside from dehydration and being abandoned, Emma was in great shape.
Everest, on the other hand, had a mountain to climb in order to survive. And fight he did. Every step, every climb, each day, he improved with treatments. Within days, he was reaching the top, thanks to the help of his amazing foster mom, Sharon Collier.
Providing around-the-clock feedings, Sharon was determined to help with their survival. She never gave up hope and she never backed down.
These two sweethearts were adopted out as a pair, and we thank the Petfinder Foundation for assisting us with their fees.
