Great Dog Rescue: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used the money on our kennel facility, where we are in desperate need for more runs and cages. Every week we have a waiting list, and any donations we receive go to creating room so we can save another dog.

See above!

How many pets did this grant help?

We take in about 40 dogs a week, and hope to grow this number by at least 10!

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Briggs was adopted out as a 9-week-old puppy to a family who lived on a prep-school campus. He grew into a wonderful dog, but did not relish the campus life, as he was timid. A year and a half later, the family sent him away to a punitive training boot camp to “fix” him and left him there for six weeks before contacting us. We found out that Briggs was repeatedly shocked, and crated most of the day and night. We had a full house at the kennel, but with the new and growing spaces, we were able to immediately scoop him up and get him out of that place. He’s now flourishing in a foster home and will soon find a home of his own. Meet Briggs: https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/34269693
