Pet beds for our rescue dogs in foster care.
Take Paws Rescue has tripled in size in the last three years and continues to grow along with the need in this area. We also experienced a high influx of abandoned dogs due to COVID-19 fears at about the time this grant was awarded. Giving each dog who is brought into our rescue their own bed, that stays with them from the day the come to us until they go to their forever homes, provides them with a sense of security that is so important to them during this stressful time.
It feels like forever ago that we were pleading for a foster for Sky. She had been chained up in the elements, days away from giving birth.
She was fear-aggressive, terrified and had eight puppies in a place she didn’t know. It took weeks for her to come around and months of uncertainty until finally, FINALLY she has found her FOREVER HOME.
She has blossomed into an affectionate, dog-friendly, snuggly girl. She’s learning that life can be really good and people can take care of you.
