How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We received the Covid-19 emergency grant to purchase vaccinations, microchips and supplies to ready pups for adoption and provide general care.

Due to the extra funds, we were able to place more dogs and more harder-to-place dogs before the stay-at-home order was enacted. These funds allowed us to place a number of dogs in a shorter amount of time.

Rio was being given away for free online. He was terrified of everything when he arrived. He was parasite-infested and had no housetraining manners. He was poorly socialized but wanted so terribly to be loved. Due to these funds, we were able to quickly have him neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and placed with a foster mom. Due to this quick response to his needs, he has found his forever home!
