Cat treats were given to our cats as our volunteers came to socialize with them.

Both the cats and the volunteers enjoyed the interactions when the volunteers came to socialize the cats. Cats who are socialized are easier and faster to get adopted.

Some of our cats came into the shelter as kittens and grew up there. Some of them would climb as high as they could and would not come down when potential adopters would come looking at cats. They were overlooked time and again. Once we started working with them by shaking the treat can, they would jump down and rub against your legs.
