Animal Aid for Vermilion Area: Orvis Dog Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We often pull dogs from our local municipal shelter who have heartworms or sometimes severe medical needs. These enrichment toys have been a huge blessing to help keep these dogs stimulated while they are healing. They have to spend a lot of time in their crates while going through rest or treatment, and having toys to keep them occupied keeps them safe and happy!

Meet Tanner! We pulled Tanner from our local municipal shelter and he was only 19 lbs.! He should have been twice that weight.
We began his medical care immediately because he was in such rough shape. Tanner is now a healthy 40 lbs. and has enjoyed his puzzle toys while going through heartworm treatment!
