How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Funding was used for adoption services, specifically new cages for our adoption sites.

Last year, we placed more than 2,100 pets into loving homes, and we are proud to say that we have just surpassed the number of adoptions from last fiscal year. This grant has contributed to the adoption of several hundred pups, who have used the new crates to be seen by potential adopters at Petco.

Kelly Kapoor is a mountain cur mix who had her last litter of puppies in our care and struck gold when she was adopted by a wonderful woman who feels like she won the lottery with this special girl. Kelly was recommended by our volunteer staff because of her loving nature and was adopted at one of our Petco locations. In addition to having a kindhearted human to call her very own (and to spoil her rotten!), Kelly also now has a wonderful SAAP furbrother, Noah, and a lovely home with plenty of comfy dog beds, a dog pool, and lots of love.
