PawPrints Animal Rescue: P.L.A.Y. Pet Beds Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The product was used for dogs and cats in our care.
This grant provided beds for our dogs and cats in foster care. It helped that the rescue did not have to spend precious money on beds for our fosters. Instead we can spend that money on medical care that our fosters need.
How many pets did this grant help?
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Percy was in pretty rough shape when he came to PawPrints. He’s a minimum of 15 years old, blind, has growths on his neck and head, all of his teeth needed to be removed, he was underweight and his feet were a complete mess. He couldn’t even walk. When he was turned in to the shelter, his mouth was matted shut and he was in a box filled with urine and feces. We quickly learned that Percy is a hospice foster and we will do all we can to keep him comfortable for as long as he is with us. He has the BEST foster mom who spoils him rotten. She loves her senior dogs, and Percy is one of a long list of seniors who have been fortunate enough to end up in her care. Here is a picture of our sweet Percy enjoying his P.L.A.Y. bed. He went from being found in a box to living a life of comfort on his comfy P.L.A.Y. bed. We love our Percy and hope he has many months with us, but we’ll be happy with the time we have. Thank you for your grant!
