Sadie and Silvester were surrendered to SPCHS and it was discovered immediately that Silvester had severe health issues. In fact, originally we were not sure he would survive, but with the skilled help of two veterinarians who work closely with our rescue group, Silvester has come back from the brink.

Without the grant, it would have been a struggle — or nearly impossible — for us to afford the special foods and insulin Silvester needed to have a chance. He is once again well, has regained his weight, his fur is lovely and lush, and we may be able to wean him off insulin and maintain his glucose levels with food only.

Again, without the help your grant, he had little chance. He and Sadie have been adopted together and living a wonderful life in Danville, KY. THANK YOU!
