Willow Creek Sanctuary: A Shot at Life Vaccination Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We receiived 50 FCVRP cat vaccinations and we have been catching some colonies of cats that are being killed and getting them spayed, neutered and evaluating for either rehoming or putting on farms.

Their are around 40 cats involved in this rescue and it has helped enormously by allowing us to do this at minimum costs. We purchased 50 feluk vaccines to complinment the FCVRP. We hope that we can save all these cats and give them the care they need to find new homes or place on farms

How many pets did this grant help?

40

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Breeze is a young Russian Blue Female…..she was found in a colony living at a local restaurant in danger of being caught and put to sleep. She was so dehydrated that her eyes have shrunk into the back of her head and she was blind with her third eyelid covering her pupils. After a thorough vet visit we are hoping that she will regain some of her vision with proper care and medicine. Our goal is to place her in a special needs home. She is sweet and trusting, but very afraid of other cats as she was trying to live off of what leftovers she could find at the restaurant that the other cats dropped and she had no way to find water. Without your grant of vaccinations and the help with spays and neuters from our local low cost spay netuer clinic, we could never have even attempted to take care of the needs of these 40 + homeless cats and kittens.
