Regina's Rescues: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Regina's Rescues used this grant funding to provide free adoptions for 20 dogs. This Kia Pet Adoption Grant removed costs associated with adoption and helped our rescue open kennels, making a greater impact on our rural community. Final results included placing 20 dogs in forever homes and impacting rural shelters in a positive way by saving more animals from being euthanized.

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Rex (first photo) came from a home where his pet parents were going through a divorce and neither could take him. He was surrendered to Regina’s.

It took Rex some time to adjust to the rescue since all he knew was his family. Finally, his personality came out and he began to trust and love being with other dogs.

After a meet-and-greet, we received a successful adoption application. Kia grant funds made it possible for Rex to find his forever family.
