Leo is a handsome Lab/mastiff mix with big droopy lips and a face full of character! He’s about 8 years old and weighs 83 lbs. Leo is a sweet guy and he’s very loving and loyal. He’s very attentive to his person and loves to just chill and be loved on. He’s very young at heart. Leo is food-motivated and he excelled in our basic obedience class. He knows Sit, Down, Stay, and Come, and he walks nicely on a leash. Leo was in pretty rough shape when we took him in several months ago. He had mange and was underweight. We treated his mange and he’s healthy and looking great now, and he’s put on weight. Leo has an old injury to his right front elbow that’s not fixable, so he is on Rimadyl for it. Leo needs a home without dogs or cats. Because of his behavior with other dogs and because he’s a large dog, Leo wouldn’t be a good match for someone who’s never had a dog. We also do not want to place him in a home with young children, but we’d expect him to be fine with older kids.

Leo keeps his kennel very clean and will hold it a long time and has never had an accident. He doesn’t chew up his dog bed either. Because of his leg injury he can’t go on long walks and he wouldn’t do well with stairs. He’d do best in a house and not an apartment. Leo loves to gallop around in the yard and then cool off in the kiddie pool! Then he’s ready to chill out and relax, and we imagine he’d make a good couch potato and TV-viewing companion. Once he knows you’re his person, you’ll have an extremely loyal and loving companion. Meet Leo: www.petfinder.com/petdetail/34271079
