Greyt Angels: Orvis Dog Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Crates for new foster homes, FortiFlora for intestinal issues of new dogs coming to our adoption group, leashes and collars for both fosters and newly adopted dogs, and heartworm prevention for our fosters. We try to provide everything our fosters need. The grant of $800 has been extremely helpful in this way, as we are a fairly new group operating on a shoestring budget! Thank you!
Because of the grant, along with new interest from potential foster homes, we were able to provide the resources needed to add additional foster homes to our base, and thus, bring in more dogs for people to meet and find a good match for them and their home.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
One newer foster home of ours is so wonderful because he fosters two at a time! He did not have a dog of his own, so he needed two crates, ongoing heartworm prevention for two dogs, as well as occasional FortiFlora for dogs with tummy problems (quite common in greyhounds and newly retired lurchers), and leashes and collars for his foster dogs. We are very blessed to have a foster home who wants two fosters! His current dogs are named Earl (first photo) and Doc (second photo). The Petfinder Foundation grant was also used to help Lilly (third photo) and Nitro (fourth photo), whom he also fostered.
