How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

To purchase six months of heartworm preventative for each of the canines in our care

It came at just the right time when there was an amazing sale on heartworm preventative, enabling us to purchase as said above six months worth for each dog. We would not have been able to buy in this bulk without the grant. Our supporters brought it home with the voting to reach our goal of success. Of course, this was prior to all of the changes to the Animal Rescue Site's voting page. Which this round has been a nightmare!

Murphy is one of our sanctuary dogs, he is epileptic and has terrible seizures. He is required to take several medications that assist in controlling his seizures therefore, he must stay healthy in all other realms because he is not a candidate for many treatments nor surgery due to anesthesia. Having him on heartworm preventatives is mandatory.
