How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We received shampoo from Wahl. We used it to bathe dogs who came to us in poor condition.

We receive many pets who have lived outside and need a bath right away. This grant provide high quality shampoo for these pets.

How many pets did this grant help?

I don't have an absolute number, we haven't completely used all of the product sent. I would say approximately 10 at this time.

Diego is a small Chihuahua who was found as a stray. He was so dirty and had many fleas. He was bathed and eventually groomed. Veronica Miller was one of 28 puppy mill dogs who had been used as breeding dogs and then handed over to our shelter. She and the others came the first and second week of October. Your products came about that same time. All of the puppy-mill dogs needed baths as soon as they got there, but some were so frightened that it was a week or longer in some cases before they were trusting enough to get baths. Veronica has several baths with the Wahl products.
