How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant helped all the cats in our care. We have sound machines in eight of our cat areas for audio enrichment. The toys and interactive items have heightened our cats' senses along with decreasing boredom.

The laser machine and "hamster wheel" help exercise our cats and kittens by allowing them to utilize their natural hunting instincts as well as being entertaining for the other cats to observe. Due to this grant, our cats and kittens are more attractive and personable with people.

This grant will help 90 cats monthly.

The enrichment items have help Felix (first photo) with his “people” skills. The enrichment has enabled him to be alert and playful while reducing his boredom. He is now interacting more with potential adopters and visitors. Felix has a pending adoption application, but you can meet him here.
