Feral Fixers NFP: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The donation was directed toward the care of Zeke, one of our cats who has been in foster care for many months awaiting his forever home.

This donation provided funds for the ongoing day-to-day care (food, litter, etc.) of Zeke.

How many pets did this grant help?

One: Zeke.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Zeke is a 21-lb. black-and-white short hair who is a sweet boy. He grooms himself to sparkling white! We say “more fun and love by the pound!” He is inquisitive and eager to play. Even though he is shy, his personality grows every day that he stays with his affectionate foster family. Unfortunately, his first adopter, who adopted Zeke as a kitten, no longer wanted the responsibility of having a fabulous cat bestow love and happiness upon him, so he returned Zeke to Feral Fixers after four years. I can only assume this family did not feel themselves worthy of the love that Zeke was offering.

If you happen to like giant kitties, 21-lb. Zeke is your man. He is a bit on the shy side but has slowly been opening up in his foster home. All signs of trembling have passed, and this kitty can definitely blossom into confidence with the right home! Zeke loves to have his butt and belly scratched (and really, who doesn’t?). Not even one outside-the-box incident has been reported or any other behaviors unfitting for an indoor home. He has no health issues, has a chip and is up-to-date on all shots.
