PAWS Humane Society: Orvis Dog Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We purchased some large, heavy crates and used our Thundershirts from another grant won to better serve our dogs that have severe separation anxiety. Through crate training and Thundershirts, we hoped to lessen their anxiety when their foster mom's were away.

This grant allowed us to better supply our 10 dog fosters with proper crates/cages for their foster dogs, helping to crate train them when needed and to keep them safe, also to prevent damage in the foster home.

Harley is a semi-neurotic Chihuahua. He has trouble being still and was not fully housetrained. The Thundershirt helped calm him and the crate kept him out of trouble when the foster was not home.
