How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

All of the dogs, and even some of the cats, are really loving having the KONGs to chew on. They seem to be much more settled. Their boredom from the confinement of the kennels is relieved a lot by having something to play with. Enrichment satisfaction is improving quite a bit.

We have a dog named Tugg in the shelter who was pretty shut-down on arrival. Since his introduction to his KONG toys, he is beginning to show some more personality and acceptance of his caretakers. He has only been with us for about a week, but he’s coming along.
