Animal Education and Rescue: Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

AEAR has applied the grant funds toward two adoptions so far: Georgia, a cat, and Abe, a rabbit. We have reserved the remaining funds for the adoption of cats or other animals who have special needs.

See below.

How many pets did this grant help?

Two pets to date. We still have funds to assist with three more adoptions.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Georgia (first photo) is a cat who needed additional time and patience from her adopter. She was adopted with another cat, Marshall (with Georgia in the second photo), and Georgia’s adoption fee was waived to provide assistance for the double adoption. In addition, Abe is a senior rabbit who needs to have his teeth trimmed every six weeks. To assist his adopter with these expenses, we used the grant to waive Abe’s adoption fee.
