How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Our department has a very active trap program for cats. We used the money to purchase specially designed canvas trap covers.

The trap covers work great in giving the cat a fealing of security while in the trap. The trap covers are specially designed to fit closely around the trap to also protect the cat from the elements of the weather.

How many pets did this grant help?

We have about 15-20 traps we use througout the year. We trap about 500 cats a year

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

I don’t know of a specific cat. I do know that about 1/2 of the cats we catch in the traps are feral and the other 1/2 friendly. We also trap family cats and have re-united them after finding their microchips or matching them with a lost and found report.
